Statement of Faith

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. 2 Tim. 3 v 15,16. 1 Peter 2 v 2. Rev. 22 v 19

The unity of the one True and Living God who is the eternally self existent “I AM” Who has also revealed Himself to be One being in Three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deut. 6 v 4. Mark 12 v 29. Matt. 28 v 19.

God is the Creator and Lord of all things. Rev. 4 v 11.

Man, who was created perfect and given dominion over creation, fell by voluntary transgression as a result of which all men are born with a sinful nature. Gen. 1 v 26-31; 3 v 1-7. Rom. 5 v 12-21.

Salvation through faith in Christ, the Son of God alone who died once for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and was raised from the dead on the third day and through His blood we have redemption. Tit. 2 v 11. Rom.10 v 8-15. Tit. 2 v 5-7. 1 Cor.15 v 3-4. Heb.9 v 28. Gal. 3 v 11.

The New Birth is an instantaneous operation of The Holy Spirit upon repentance toward God and the exercise of faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. John 3 v 5-6. James 1 v 18. 1 Peter 1 v 23. 1 John 5 v 1.

Baptism by immersion in water is enjoined upon all who have repented, believed with all their hearts and confessed that Christ is Saviour and Lord. Matt. 28 v 19. Acts 2 v 38-39; 8 v 38-39; 10 v 47-48. Rom.10 v 9.

The Baptism of The Holy Spirit, being an experience following the New Birth, which is accompanied by supernatural manifestation, according to the scriptures. Within the church are given the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the offices as recorded in the New Testament. Matt. 3 v 11. Acts 2 v 4; 8 vv 6,8,12,13,15,16,18; 10 v 44-48; 11 v 14-16; 19 v 6. Eph.4 v 7-16. 1 Cor.12. 1 Cor.14. 1 Tim.3. Acts 6 v 3.

Holiness of life and conduct in obedience to the command of God “Be ye holy for I am holy”. 1 Peter 1 v 14-16. Heb. 12 v 14. 1 Thess. 5 v 23. 1 John 2 v 6. 1 Cor. 13. James 2 v 20.

Deliverance from sickness and the activity of evil spirits is provided for in Christ’s Atonement and in the Name and authority of The Lord Jesus Christ. Divine healing is to be understood and practised as taught in the Scriptures. Matt. 8 v 16-17. Mark 16 v 18. James 5 v 13-16. Acts 4 v 10; 16 v 18. Isaiah 53 v 5.

The Breaking of Bread. This is enjoined on all believers until the Lord comes and is a representation only of his atoning body and blood. Luke 12 v 14-20. 1 Cor. 11 v 20-34.

The second coming of The Lord Jesus Christ is the Blessed hope set before all believers. The date of this event, whilst not known to man, is appointed by and known to God the Father and the signs of its imminence are described in Scripture. 1 Cor.15 v 22-24; 15 v 51-57. 1 Thess.4 v 14-18. Matt.24 v 37,44. Rev.16 v 15.

The everlasting conscious punishment of all whose names are not written in the Book of Life. Rev. 20 v 10-15. Mark 9 v 43-48.

Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, neither those who do not love their fellow Christian. 1 John 3 v 10.

None but those who know God and do His Will are His true servants. Whilst the practice of the supernatural gifts is to be welcomed, the existence of supernatural manifestations does not necessarily authenticate a ministry or confirm any person as an authentic servant of God. 1 John 2 v 18-19.
